Alice Lorena Childers passed away on April 10, 2023.

Alice Lorena Childers of Cottage Grove passed away April 10, 2023 at the age of 85.
Alice was born March 20, 1938 in Boise City, Oklahoma to Orville & Florence Lamb. They moved to Oregon when Alice was 3 years old and she remained in the Cottage Grove area.
Alice married Willis O. Childers on October 20, 1956. They had 4 children: Michael Childers, Sheri Childers, Sandra Harbeintner, & Mark Childers.
Alice had 9 grandchildren: Rachael Bailey, Jessica Henry, Robert Childers, Skye Hefner, Jeromee Brown, Jeremiah Treadwell, Weston Treadwell, Wyatt Treadwell & Josephine Garcia.
Alice was also blessed with several great-grandchildren and even a great-great-grandchild.
Alice retired from South Lane School district as a Special Ed school bus driver. Prior to that she taught sewing classes in her home, community sites and Lane Community College.
Alice had a passion for sewing & gardening.  She was an amazing seamstress and enjoyed teaching others the art of sewing. Alice loved spending time gardening and teaching her great-grandchildren her love of flowers.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband Willis, son Mark and brother Bruce Lamb.
Celebration of life will be held Friday May 19th @ 2 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 531 S 10th St, Cottage Grove, OR 97424.
