Betty Ann Hodges passed away on May 17, 2023.

Betty Ann Hodges, born March 7, 1944, passed away on May 17, 2023 from a fatal car accident in Reedsport, Oregon. Betty was born in Eugene, Oregon but lived in Drain and Cottage Grove, Oregon.

She is preceded in death by husband Ernest O. Hodges, father Andy Alven Harris and mother Marguerite Helen Harris. Surviving family members are son Monty C. Howard and daughter-in-law Deborah O'Shea Howard of Eugene, Oregon, grandson Matthew R. Howard of Drain, stepchildren Eveleen Hodges, Mark Hodges, and sister Judy Burnett of Drain.

Betty graduated from Cottage Grove HS in 1961 and attended Eugene Business College for two years. Betty was an amazing seamstress for most of her life in Cottage Grove. She also loved to paint and crochet over the years and sold her artwork in many shops and on eBay. Betty worked for the Register Guard for 17 years, was a bookkeeper and also did some Real Estate. Betty resided the last five years in Florence, Oregon. She sold her paintings in many shops and restaurants in Florence.

Betty was a friend to anyone she met. She loved to sit and talk about anything. Betty will be missed by all those who knew her. She has gained her wings and is with our Lord and Savior. There will be a graveyard service June 4th, 2023, at 1:30 pm at Curtin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Humane Society of Florence, Oregon in honor of Betty.
