Bowlers from Cottage Grove have experienced success at a variety of championship tournaments.
At the high school level, the Cottage Grove High School girls finished fourth in state while the boys took eighth.
At the Oregon State United States Bowling Congress (OSUSBC) youth championship, the Cottage Bowl will be sending four representatives to the state championship. On the girls side Jordyn Beswick from the under-12 age group took first place with a score of 778 while Kari Kindrick took second in the under-15 age group with a score of 995.
On the boys side, Ian Renfro took second in the boys under-12 age group and finished with a score of 971. And in the under-17 age group, Jared Simmons took third with a score of 1,190.
The bowlers qualified for OSUSBC State which begins on March 31 in Salem.
