With heavy rains through the week, the City of Cottage Grove made sand and sandbags available on North 12th Street by the Community Sharing Warming Shelter and the Lulu’s Dog Park.

Citizens should bring their own shovel and can fill all the bags they need. The sand and bags are free.

The entrance to North 12th Street is between Chvatal Orthodontics and Dari-Mart.

Rains are expected to wind down by Friday (Jan. 7) night.
