In a rematch of a 18-12 triple overtime loss to the Cali Crush back on May 9, the Oregon Cougars of the WFA (Women’s Football Alliance) were looking for a measure of revenge.
In a cool, rainy, and windy Saturday night in Cottage Grove that’s just what they found. In the fourth quarter the game appeared to be heading for another overtime.
But quarterback Macie Reinen had a big 31 yards rush and Briana Boyce punched it in for a touchdown, making the score 8-0 following a two-point conversion.
Katharine Alvarez then scored on a 50 yard touchdown run to help the Cougars on their way to a 16-0 win over Cali Crush.
