David Roger Woody passed away on May 17, 2023.

David Roger Woody, 67, of Portland, Oregon passed away May 17, 2023. David was born August 2, 1955 in Cottage Grove, Oregon to parents Uyless Woody and Carol Woody. He was a Woodland High School graduate. In David’s early years he worked in the logging industry as a chaser, but more recently worked in hazardous tree removal. He also cut timber in the blast zone after Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980. David enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He is survived by his wife Gail (Adkins) Woody of Portland, OR; father Uyless Woody of Cottage Grove, OR; son Troy (Stephanie Sloan) Woody of Vancouver, WA; son Jeffery (Kim) Woody of Woodland, WA; daughter Kristine Woody of Vancouver, WA; brother Steven Woody of Cottage Grove, OR; brother Mike Woody of Kearns, UT and 5 grandchildren. A  funeral service was held at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, June 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Hawley Cemetery, Cottage Grove, OR. Arrangements are in the care of Smith- Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
