Dennis Devon Willian

Our beloved Uncle, Dennis Devon Willian went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2019 after a short and unforeseen illness at 75 years of age. Dennis was born on February 26, 1944 to John and Laura (Krisher) Willian. He was born in Cottage Grove, and attended the local schools in the area, and lived most of his life in the Cottage Grove, Walker area. Dennis went into the Army at a young age and served in the Vietnam War. Dennis was raised mainly with his older sister Charlotte due to the death of all his other siblings. He spent a lot of time as a young man with Charlotte and her family, especially her two nieces. Dennis really enjoyed baking and cooking and became a cook for The Village Green Restaurant. Dennis’ life was changed after going to a little Pentecostal Church and coming to know and serve the Lord. His happiest days were spent attending church services, listening to Christian music and spending time with his nieces. He also enjoyed being involved in the Sunday school and bus ministry at the church. Later on in his life Dennis moved from the Cottage Grove area to other parts of the state including Baker City and Cave Junction where he worked as a cook and lastly to the Hermiston, Umatilla area. Dennis is survived by his two nieces, Mary Cook, (Randal) of Creswell, Oregon and Candace Bermodes (Lucky) of Stockton, CA and two nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Burkleo residence, 32834 England Rd., Creswell, OR on Friday July 26 at 2:00 p.m.
