Eleanor LaVonne Nash, 94, of Cottage Grove, Oregon passed away March 22, 2021. She was born to parents Elmer and Clara Alice (Ferber) Young June 20, 1926 in Yankton, South Dakota. Eleanor was a homemaker and flower shop owner. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, her horses shown by trainers, cooking (famous for her pancakes), and cake decorating. She was a member of the California Tree Farmer Association, California State Horsemen’s Association, American Paint Horse Association, and the American Quarter Horse Association. Eleanor married Wilber Nash March 16, 1945 in Winlock, Washington. She is survived by daughter Joyce Haymes of Cottage Grove, OR son Gary (Valerie) Nash of Creswell, OR; daughter Lisa (Gary) Huddle of Cottage Grove, OR; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Wilbur and grandson Wilbur Gene Huddle. A private family graveside will be held at Fir Grove Cemetery, Cottage Grove, OR.
