Fred Mahoney passed away on October 10th, 2022.

On Monday October 10th, 2022, Federico “Fred” Mahoney, loving husband and father of 2, passed away suddenly from a heart attack at the age of 60.

Fred was born on March 30th,1962 in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico to Mary Ellin Lampe. In 1976, he moved to Cottage Grove, Oregon and graduated from Cottage Grove High School in 1980. On November 14th, 1981 he married Karolyn Sannes. They have been side by side for 40 years, and raised 2 children.

Fred took pride in the work he did as a screen printer at Ad Art, an operator/trainer at Sony Disc Manufacturing, and most recently a print technician at KRS.

Fred loved art, woodworking, landscaping, being a musician and the family handyman. He was a talented musician, who played multiple instruments, wrote music, recorded, edited, and ran a recording studio with his long time friend. He enjoyed performing with his bandmates and friends. 

Fred was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen Lampe, and brothers Michael and Patrick. Is survived by his wife, Karolyn Mahoney, brother Robert (Bob) Feldman of Salt Lake City, Utah, 2 children Anthony and Heather, and 2 grandchildren.

The Family is planning a Celebration of life on Saturday November 5th at 6pm, 2022 at The Cottage Events Center 2915 Row River Road, Cottage Grove OR.
