Howard Donald Heib, 96 of Drain, OR passed away April 6, 2019. He was born in Lordstown, Ohio to parents Charles and Nora (Kinnaman) Heib. Howard graduated from high school and joined the Army Air Corp serving in World War II. He was a B-24 Crew Chief Bombardier, and Aircraft Mechanic. Howard was head of maintenance, a millwright, and truck driver for Ferro Corporation. He enjoyed fishing, travel, pinochle, and playing Santa. He loved church and was a faithful servant. Howard was a member of the Lions Club and Veterans of Foreign War. He is survived by son Rick Heib; daughters Deb Heib and Cheryl Bord; sister-in-law Pat Dew; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held April 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove, OR. Private Inurnment will be at Roseburg National Cemetery, Roseburg, OR.
