Jacqueline Jane Davis, 84 of Eugene, OR passed away on June 7, 2019 from heart and kidney disease.  She was born on November 6, 1934 in New Orleans, LA to parents John and Marie (Leidner) Schroder.  Jacqueline completed college receiving her bachelor’s degree and teaching credentials.  She served in the United States Marine Corp for 4 months in 1956.  Jacqueline married James Joachim Davis on December 19, 1959 in New Orleans, LA.  She was a middle school and high school teacher who taught mainly Spanish and US History.  Jacqueline enjoyed genealogy, choreography and dancing, Broadway musical plays, gems, and crafts that included card making and jewelry.  She was a member of local historical societies and genealogy groups. Jacqueline is survived by her daughter, Kateri, Creswell, OR; son, Christopher, WA; son, Tristan, AZ; daughter, Nicole, AZ; sons, Daland, Darian and Danan all of WA; brother, Johnny, TX; 16 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Davis in May of 2001 and her sister, Rosemay.  Rosary and Visitation was held at 1:00 PM followed by Funeral Mass at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, 552 Holbrook Ln., Creswell, OR 97426.  Interment at Fairmont Memorial Park, Fairfield, CA.  Memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation. Arrangements in the care of Smith Lund Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove, OR.
