Janet “Carol” DeSpain passed away on March 14, 2023.

Janet “Carol” DeSpain, 87, of Cottage Grove, Oregon passed away March 14, 2023. Carol was born October 8, 1935, in Eugene, Oregon to parents Charles H. and Daisy “Ruth” (Mendell) Gordineer. She married Alvin DeSpain June 23, 1967, in Oakridge, Oregon. Carol enjoyed crafts, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles, and reading. Carol is survived by her children Ron and Lio DeSpain of CA; Sandra and Steven Evernden of LaPine, OR; Pam and Larry Wiskow of Cottage Grove, OR; Twila and John Lamb of WA; Joyce and Chuck Burkeen of Estacada, OR; Alvin and Gina DeSpain of Cottage Grove, OR; Terry and Shalan DeSpain of OK; and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin, and her son Ron Woody. A funeral service was held March 22, 2023, at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
