Jeanne Louise Baker

Jeanne Louise Baker, 50, passed away Friday, March. 24, 2017.

She was born September 22, 1966, in Eugene, Oregon and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Cottage Grove High School, and earned a degree in Early Childhood Development from Lane Community College.

After college, Jeanne was employed as a Nanny in Philadelphia, PA, and later worked as an aid at a senior care facility. She also worked as a freelance Web Designer, then later as a Sales and Support representative for Dell Computers. Jeanne enjoyed horseback riding, and in her youth competed in show horse competitions. She also spent several years competing, along with her brothers, with the Bohemia Swimming Association and the Cottage Grove High School swim team. Later, she enjoyed working with her mother in her pomeranian breeding business.

She took most pride in being a loving and attentive mom to her two children.

She had a knack for connecting kindly with children, and was a gifted baker – the family prized her snickerdoodles and wealth of baked goods and candies she produced every Christmas. She was an excellent horsewoman and a natural at caring for animals of all kinds.

She is survived by her mother, Sandra Baker, of Cottage Grove; her son Caleb Adair, of Seattle, WA; daughter Courtney Adair, of Cottage Grove; two brothers, Kenneth Baker, of McMinnville and Richard Baker, of Clayton, NC; Nieces Olivia and Victoria Baker, of McMinnville; and nephews Richard III and Hunter Baker, of Clayton, NC.

Private Services were held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 1:00 PM by close family and friends.
