Jeremy Lee Van Brocklin passed away on August 1st, 2022.

Jeremy Lee Van Brocklin, 17, of Cottage Grove, Oregon passed away due to a tragic swimming incident on August 1, 2022.

Jeremy was born in Springfield, Oregon on April 10, 2005. Growing up, Jeremy was very active in sports and activities, including football, basketball, and soccer. He attended Oak Park Christian School, Harrison Elementary, Lincoln Middle School, and Cottage Grove High School. Jeremy loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed playing video games, and spending time with his family.

Jeremy is survived by the love of his life and best friend Stormy Barton and their fur baby Remington; parents Michael and Kelsey Van Brocklin of Cottage Grove; sister Casey Van Brocklin; mother Candice Parsons of Cottage Grove; brothers Kaydence and Gunner; sisters Lacy, Azalea, Alixcea; “Papa” Jerry Van Brocklin and Juanita of Sweet Home; “Nan” Elizabeth Clewett of Eugene; “Meme” and “Dpa”, Sandy and Randy Loyd of Springfield; and “MoMo” Marianne Patton of Cottage Grove; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that he loved very much. Jeremy is preceded in death by his grandmother, “Mamo” Cheryl (2009) and Cousin Matthew Van Brocklin (2015).

A Celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Riverside Community Church of God in Cottage Grove, OR. Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium. Inurnment will be at Fir Grove Cemetery.
