Jill Harwood, 69, of Cottage Grove, Oregon, passed on January 31, 2019.  She was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on March 28, 1949, to parents Moses and Diane (Laks) Sirotkin.  Jill married Allen Harwood on October 20, 1970 in North Bend, Oregon. She sang in Glee Club, graduated in 1967 and went on to earn a BA in social work.  Jill worked many years as an advocate of the people, helping others with resources in a non-profit setting and in recent years, she taught beginning Hebrew, education of the Jewish religion, and was proud of her Jewish heritage.  She loved singing with Up With People folk band, reading (the entire bible once a year) and watching life time movies.  She was a member of the Messianic Community and the Cottage Grove 7^thDay Adventist Church. Jill is survived by her loving husband, Allen; daughter, Rocio Harwood of Cottage Grove; son, Jon and wife Sandra Harwood of Christmas Valley, OR; sister, Lynn Schlow of State College, PA; and 10 grandchildren.  A graveside service was held at the Silk Creek Cemetery in Cottage Grove, on Monday, February 4^that 2:00 pm with a memorial service being held on Saturday, February 9^that 2:00 pm at the Cottage Grove 7^thDay Adventist Church.   Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove, OR.
