Jill Pamela Barlow (Medberry) passed away on April 30, 2023.

With sorrow we share with you the death of Jill Pamela Barlow (Medberry) who died April 30, 2023 at age 81 from complications of congestive heart failure and renal failure. Jill was born March 13, 1942 in International Falls, MN to June Mollberg and Ralph Medberry.  Jill is survived by her brothers Jack “Bear” (Shirley) Medberry and Michael (Carla) Turner of Cottage Grove, OR; brother Shane (Nora) Turner of Pacifica, CA; her daughter Polly (Rick) Hettwer of Cottage Grove, OR; sons Adam Esser and Mark (Linda) Esser of Cottage Grove, OR; grandchildren Tawnya, Kayla, and Jeffery, two great-grandchildren and several dearly-loved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, three brothers and two sisters.  To say that she lost a battle against her health complications would not be accurate due to her courage, resilience, and spirit to keep living life to the fullest despite health hurdles.

 Jill was a dedicated fan of musicians Johnny Mathis and Nat King Cole and every traditional Christmas Eve spent with her children and grandchildren guaranteed a Nat King Cole Christmas album playing.  A proud Norwegian, she enjoyed sharing Scandinavian customs with her family. Jill was an enthusiastic doll collector as well as other vintage collectibles and antiques.  Until she began experiencing serious health problems, she was an active and devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove.  There will be a memorial service held at a later date.  Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
