LCOG Senior & Disability Services Commits to Justice for Elder Abuse Awareness Month

Local effort to raise awareness about abuse of older adults and adults with disabilities in our communities.

Join LCOG Senior & Disability Services in raising awareness for the millions of older adults and people with disabilities that experience abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation. June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month, and June 15th is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. 1 in 10 older adults will experience some form of abuse, while people with disabilities are 3 times more likely to experience abuse than the general population. When we come together, we can prevent abuse from happening.

To report suspected abuse, call the S&DS Adult Protective Services abuse reporting line at 541-682-4140. Click here for more information on adult abuse and Adult Protective Services.

If someone is in need of services or resources, our Aging & Disability Resource Connection (ADRC)  is here to help by providing information and referrals, call 541-682-3353 or email [email protected].
