Lucille McCrady, 87 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 25, 2019 in Cottage Grove, Oregon. Lucille was born on November 8, 1931 in Red Deer, Alberta Canada. Her parents were Victor and Marie (Eritsland) Stratton.

She married Richard McCrady August 22, 1953 in Walker, Oregon in the Little White Church on the Hill and were together for over 65 wonderful years. Besides being a Homemaker, Lucille was a Bookkeeper and a store owner of the Mode O’ Day dress shop in Cottage Grove and was awarded Best Sales Representative for Mode O’ Day Company. The award included recognition of high yearly sales and a trip to Disneyland with her daughter Jayne. She enjoyed sewing clothes for the kids, reading, flower gardening, ceramics, coast and family trips and watching “Murder She Wrote” and her favorite TV personality Merv Griffin.

Lucille was a member of the Cottage Grove Motorcycle Club, Boots and Sandals Square Dance Club, Bowling Leagues, South Lane Cruisers Club, Red Hat Society, Breast Cancer Survivors Group and Chamber of Commerce. She was a Brownie, Girl Scout and Cub Scout Leader and later on received an appreciation award from the Wester Rivers Girl Scout Council in 1974.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, daughters Judy McCrady (Kenny), Janet Clark (Gary), Jayne Scoggin (Cary) and son Louie McCrady (Kitty). Grandchildren; Heather Nichols-Smith (Kelvin), Heidi Kimm (Anderson), Penn Sylvain (Claire), Jared Scoggin, Ty Scoggin (Jillian) and Caylan McCrady. Great Grandchildren; Kaneesha Nichols-Smith (Tlaloc) and Kyshan Nichols-Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents Victor and Marie, brothers Victor and David and sisters Julia and Lillian.

A memorial gathering will be set at a later date. The family wishes for donations to go to the American Cancer Research, Parkinson’s Association, American Heart Association and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
