Norman Henry Westerkamp

Norman Henry Westerkamp, 85 of Cottage Grove, Oregon passed away March 18, 2019. He was born October 3, 1933, in Denver, CO to parents Henry and Adda (Halter) Westerkamp. Norman graduated in 1951 from North Denver High School, and Rocky Mountain Technical Institute from 1957-1961. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Saint Paul during the Korean War. He married Cornelia T. Lowrance, November 16, 1954, in Westminster, Colorado. Norman worked as a Custodian in Denver public schools. He also worked as a pin setter at a bowling alley, at stockman Dixon Paper, and Jefferson County Schools as an Electrician Apprentice. He owned and operated NorWest Backhoe and Septic Services until his retirement in 1995. Normans hobbies included being on the pit crew for Googie Gallow. Norman is survived by his wife Cornelia, daughter Carol (Gerald) Waterhouse; daughter Karen (Ronald) Perkins; son Bobby (Melanie) Westerkamp; son Clent (Cheri) Westerkamp; son Mark (Barbara) Westerkamp; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by daughter-in law Lisa Williams (Westerkamp). A graveside service will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 at 11:AM, at Creswell Pioneer Cemetery.
