Peter H. Koratschenko, 68 of Cottage Grove, OR passed away March 8, 2019. He was born on July 1, 1950 in Arolsen, Germany to parents Fedor and Marianne (Muller) Koratschenko.  Peter graduated from Glendale High School.  He was a natural born leader working in management for food service and the automobile industries.  Peter married Harriet M. Troutman on June 20, 1976 in Las Vegas, NV.  Peter enjoyed movies, experiencing new restaurants, camping, and petting zoos.  He loved animals, visiting casinos to watch people at their worst and best behavior.  Peter was easily entertained by people and found amusement in playfully antagonizing others.  Peter is survived by his loving wife, Harriet Koratschenko; children, Vanessa Koratschenko, Albert O’Neil and Susan O’Neil; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenhill Humane Society, 3970 W 1st Ave, Eugene, OR 97402.  A private family service will be held.  Arrangements in the care of Smith Lund Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove, OR.
