Phyllis Jean Emang, 92 of Cottage Grove, OR passed away on October 11, 2019.  She was born on May 21, 1927 in Arco, ID to parents John S. and Edith A. (Johnson) Brassfield.  She graduated from Bakersfield High School in California.  Phyllis married Leonard H. Emang on May 8, 1965 in Corvallis, OR.  She was a secretary in the special education department for the Albany School District.  She also drove a grain truck in the fields while living in Shedd, OR. Phyllis enjoyed playing cards, playing chess on the computer, traveling with her husband, riding dirt bikes in the desert, prospecting for gold, crocheting and snow-birding in the winter months.  She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  Phyllis is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Edith E. and Robert Fetsch, Dorena, OR; son, Paul Stewart Owen, Pittsburgh, CA; son and daughter-in-law, Leonard Allen and Phyllis Jean Emang, Corvallis, OR; son and daughter-in-law, John Thomas and Ruth Emang, Orem, UT; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and 1 on the way.  No services will be held.  Arrangements in the care of Smith Lund Mills Funeral Chapel, Cottage Grove, OR.
