Phyllis Jean Savage passed away on August 17, 2023.

Phyllis Jean Savage, 85, of Cottage Grove, Oregon passed away August 17, 2023. Phyllis was born November 13, 1937, in Eugene, Oregon to parents Roy and Mae (Davis) Sherbondy. She married Gene A. Savage on March 15, 1957 in Junction City, Oregon. She was a librarian for the public school system, Harrison and Bohemia and retired in 1999 after 27 years. Phyllis was also a homemaker raising her 3 daughters. She liked gardening, feeding her birds and squirrels, reading, and going to dinner and movies with her friends. Phyllis loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, but most of all spending time with her family. She and her husband in their younger years were affiliated with the Boots and Sandals Club. Phyllis is survived by daughter Gelene (Troy) Pearce of Veneta, OR; daughter Janelle (Brad) Langston of Eugene, OR; daughter Janette Savage of Cottage Grove, OR; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM At Delight Valley Church of Christ in Saginaw, Oregon. Interment to follow at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene, Oregon. Arrangements are in the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
