Police Log 2/1/2022 - 2/7/2022

Feb. 1

• CGPD arrested a woman for an outstanding confirmed warrant. She was taken to the CGPD upstairs holding cell pending Lane County Jail. She was later taken to the LCJ and lodged on the warrant.

Feb. 2

• CGPD responded to Harrison Avenue for a disturbance.

Feb. 3

• Officers were dispatched to 28 South 6th Street for an Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (UUV). The victim in this report stated that her boyfriend took her vehicle and never brought it back on a date and time agreed upon. She wanted to pursue charges of (UUV). The vehicle was later entered as stolen into LEDS/NCIC.

• Officers responded to an overturned log truck versus SUV motor vehicle accident with entrapment and both lanes of travel blocked. On arrival, fire already had the passengers of the SUV extricated and in the ambulance for transport with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the log truck was extracted from the semi cabin and uninjured.LCSO arrived and took over the scene. Officers remained on scene until the tow companies arrived to assist with traffic control due to the crash being on a sharp corner. 

• A man  stated his roommate had stolen his ex-wife’s cat, a white albino Siamese named Diamond. The man’s ex-wife was supposed to obtain the cat on 2/4/2022 between 2:30p-3:00p with civil standby. The cat, Diamond is the ex-wife’s companion animal. She has been contacted, but she did not pick up.

Feb. 4

• Officers responded to All American Market for a report of a theft in progress.

• Cottage Grove Police Dispatch received an email by a woman regarding her cell phone had been stolen at Walmart. 

Feb. 5

• A woman reported hit and run property damage to her 2015 Mazda. At an unknown location or specific time somewhere between Cottage Grove and Eugene she reported minimal damage to the right rear bumper of her vehicle. 

Cottage Grove Police Dispatch received a call from a woman regarding her mother, she had lost her wallet on her walk home from Bi-Mart.

Feb. 6

• Officers conducted a business check at Cottage Grove Market. While at Cottage Grove Market, officers seized fentanyl and methamphetamine off a subject.
