October 31
At 12:16am, an officer responded to the 900 block of Row River Rd in regard to a female running around the parking lot looking into cars.
At approximately 10:55am, an officer received a call from Adult Protective Services regarding a son withholding rent payment to his father’s care facility.
At 11:30am, a responding party turned in a Ford Lift Kit found in the bushes near Cascade.
At approximately 11:03am, an officer responded to a call regarding a civil complaint between custody of children between mother and daughter.
At 11:51am, the Cottage Grove Police Department received a D.H.S. report involving possible child abuse that occurred out of state and the victim of which currently resides in Cottage Grove. Multiple attempts have been made to speak with the family in Cottage Grove but as of the writing of this report, those attempts have been unsuccessful.
At approximately 9:58pm, an officer responded to the 700 block of Row River Road for an active disturbance.
November 1
At 1:07am, an officer received a DHS307 report.
At 12:22pm, an officer was dispatched to the listed location to contact APS regarding a welfare check and refusal of access to a person of concern by listed parties. No criminal action was taken at time of contact. All parties were identified. Case was generated as information. Clear case closed.
At 1:56pm, a report of school personnel misconduct was reported.
At 4:45pm, an involved individual was arrested on an outstanding Warrant.
At 8:20pm, an officer responded to a call involving a suspicious individual. This call was later determined to be a citizen assist.
November 2
At approximately 1:00am, an officer transported two individuals to Lane County Jail.
At 10:21am, Dispatch received a 307. Allegations are concerning that of an adult victim occurring approximately 50 years ago. Location other than "Cottage Grove" and involved suspected persons other than "Margarette" are unknown. Report was closed at screening. Allegations as they are described exceed the statute of limitations. Clear case closed.
At 2:28pm, the listed victim in this case wished to report that her identity had been used without her permission to apply for credit loan amounts. The victim does not know the amounts requested by the unknown suspect. The victim advised that the bank requested a courtesy police report to initiate an investigation and aid in reporting to the involved credit bureaus. Cased closed with no value amount provided by the victim and no further avenues of suspect identification.
At 2:02pm, the Cottage Grove Police Department received a report alleging theft involving an ex-business partner, after the ex-business partner had left the business venture. The case is ongoing.
At 3:30pm, an involved individual was cited and released on an outstanding warrant into Reedsport Justice Court.
At 1:20pm, a listed victim contacted the Cottage Grove Police Department to report her vehicle had been struck by the listed suspect while it was parked and unoccupied at the involved business parking lot which the victim also owns. The suspect and mentioned female passenger were positively identified by the case officer after reviewing the businesses security video which shows the hit and run incident in its entirety. The damage to the victim vehicle was inflicted to the passenger side door panels and can be described as larger denting and paint scratches to the vehicle. The suspect does not reside within the city and will need to be contacted at a later date.
November 3
At approximately 12:40am, an officer responded to the bike path outside of the main entrance to the Cottage Grove City Shops (425 North 14th Street, Cottage Grove, OR 97424) in relation to a complaint of a group of individuals being loud on the bike path.
At approximately 2:00pm, an officer received a DHS307 for a claim of domestic violence and child abuse.
At approximately 4:22pm, a vehicle was tagged with a 72-hour tow notice.
At 5:52pm, the Cottage Grove Police were contacted by the reporting party listed in this case who is an employee/cashier of the business involved in this case. The reporting party stated that a white male wearing a grey and white University of Oregon leather jacket and a black hat. The suspect had entered the business and had stolen a small pocketknife valued at $25.00. An area canvas was conducted by the responding case officer for the suspect who was reported to leave the area on foot. The search for the suspect was concluded with negative results. No business security camera footage was available to review from the business when requested at the time of police contact. Case closed with no further evidentiary leads or suspect information to pursue.
At 7:42pm,an officer received a DHS307 report regarding claims of self-harm from a minor.
November 4
At 07:50am an officer responded to a 911 hangup at the 200 block of S 22nd Street.
At 9:43am, officers took a report of an alleged theft of gas from a vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart. The reporting person provided officers with enough information to narrow down the time frame of the alleged theft, and upon review of the security recording of the parking lot no suspects were able to be identified.
At 12:43pm, while working uniformed patrol, an officer received an OHS 307 report.
At 7:22pm, an officer responded to a call about a theft at the 300 block of S River Road (Silk Creek Park).
At approximately 7:50pm, a male was trespassed from Jasper's Deli.
November 5
At 12:53am, two officers responded to 80 block of S 15TH Street, for a domestic disturbance in progress. Subsequently, an individual was arrested and lodged at Lane County Jail.
At approximately 3:43pm, a lost dog was brought to CGPD.
At 4:10pm, an officer arrested a female for disorderly conduct and littering.
At 10:32 hours an officer placed the involved individual on a peace officer mental hold and transported her from our custody in the Cottage Grove Municipal Jail to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center University District.
November 6
At 05:44am, an officer responded for an 'attempt to locate' to locate a possible intoxicated driver. Subject 'A' was CLC'd for ORS 813.010 Driving under the influence of intoxicants without incident.
At 10:00am, an officer responded to a residence regarding a violation of a restraining order. A female was arrested and transported to Lane County Jail.
At approximately 3:23pm, a vehicle was driving recklessly on HWY 99 northbound.
At approximately 4:27pm, a male reported his tent had been spray painted.
At approximately 5:32pm, a drug-like substance was located at Safeway.
At approximately 9:00pm, a vehicle crashed into a ditch.
November 7
At 11:23 am, a person contacted the Cottage Grove Police regarding a non-injury motor vehicle crash that happened the day before and was requesting a case number for the insurance company.
At 1:22 p.m., a complainant cross reported concerning ideation and urges as spoken by his listed patient as legally obligated for information and public safety concerns. Clear case closed.
At 1:30 p.m., an officer responded to Coast Fork Nursing Home regarding a probation violation.
At 3:50 p.m., the listed responding party came into the station to report an assault.
At approximately 5:16 p.m., an officer responded to a residence for a report of a potential child sex crime.
At 5:24 p.m., an officer trespassed a man from Walmart for Theft Ill.
At 6:12 p.m., an officer tagged a SUV/Trailer to be towed if not removed on 11/11/2022 at 0008 hours.
November 8
At approximately 1:57 a.m., an officer made contact and issued a citation for theft Ill to the suspect of a theft in Walmart on 11/01/2022.
At 4:36 p.m., the Cottage Grove Police responded to an in-progress shoplifting theft at the business of Wal-Mart, located at 901 Row River Road. The suspect was apprehended and ultimately cited in lieu of custody for the charge of Theft in the Second Degree.
At approximately 6:56 p.m., a bus light violation form was submitted from the South Lane School District.
At approximately 8:33pm, a female advised the respondent of a restraining order and followed her through a store.
At 10:12 p.m., the listed reporting party in this case contacted the Cottage Grove Police Department to report his missing family who is listed in this case as the victim. After interviewing the reporting party, the listed victim was entered into the LEDS database as a missing person. An AT&T cell phone ping and ONStar vehicle location service were both conducted due to the victims’ medical conditions which were concluded with negative results. On 11/092022, The victim was located by the reporting party. The victim was found to have been stranded in his vehicle in a remote mountain location with no cell phone service to call for aid or assistance but was in overall good condition. The LEDS database entry was removed.
November 9
At approximately 12:36 a.m., CGPD was called to a death investigation.
At 9:36 a.m., an officer responded to a non-injury non-blocking vehicle crash to assist with information exchange.
At approximately 2:00 p.m., CGPD received an OHS 307.
At 5:44 p.m., the Cottage Grove Police received an emailed OHS 307 child welfare report involving the listed parties in this case. After an assigned case officer review of the report contents, the child welfare report does meet the needs for a criminal investigation.
At 7:21 p.m., the listed reporting party wished to report a trespass in progress. Upon CGPD arrival the listed suspect in this case was located by the case officer and taken into custody without incident. The suspect had caused damage to a wooden leaning structure that was attached to the building. The structure and involved building are owned by the listed victim in this case who wished to pursue charges. Upon search incident to arrest of the suspect, burglary tools were located on his person. The suspect was transported and lodged into the Cottage Grove Municipal Jail awaiting court appearance regarding this case on 11/10/2022.
November 10
At 9:31 a.m., officers responded to Lincoln Middle School for a report of a damaged school bus window. Officers were also provided information that the bus driver reported hearing what sounded like gun fire in the same area. Multiple officers responded to the and after an investigation they were not able to confirm the noise heard was in fact gunfire, and the damage to the bus window appeared not to be consistent with damage associated with a firearm. Case taken for the criminal mischief to the bus window, and no suspects have been identified as of the writing of this report. Case suspended pending suspect development.
At 12:11 p.m., the Cottage Grove Police Department received a report from D.H.S. detailing concerns for the welfare of two minor children and their mother, due to a physical altercation between the mother and the father. The case is ongoing.
At 3:00 p.m., an officer responded to a counter contact regarding telephonic harassment.
November 11
At 11:15 p.m., an officer located and tagged an abandoned vehicle at Gateway and Row River.
November 12
At approximately 9:25 p.m., a male was trespassed from Jefferson Park Apartments.
November 13
At 08:05 p.m., an officer responded to a violation of restraining order. Subsequently, subject 'A' was arrested for violating an active restraining order issued by the Lane County Sheriff's Office on 8/6/2022.
November 14
At 9:23 a.m. the reporting party contacted the Cottage Grove Police Department regarding found property located near the listed area. The property was seized by the assigned CGPD case officer and lodged for safekeeping under this case. The listed owner’s social security card along with a criminal citation copy and numerous business cards were also lodged together.
At 12:27 p.m. CSO responded to a call for an abandoned vehicle.
At 6:15 p.m. an older female black Labrador with a red collar was found running at large in the listed area by the reporting party. The dog was eventually identified as "Bess" and the listed owner in this case contacted the Cottage Grove Police Department and retrieved his pet from the CGPW kennels within hours of the dog being found by the reporting party.
November 15
At 03:47 a.m. an officer contacted and trespassed a subject from McDonald’s.
At approximately 2:37p.m. Northwest Community Credit Union advised a male threatened to shoot up the bank.
At approx. 5:25 p.m. drugs were seized.
At approx. 6:41 p.m. a DHS307 was received.
November 16
At approx. 1:28 p.m. a female advised a backpack was left in her yard.
At 7:17 p.m. the Cottage Grove Police received an emailed DHS 307 child welfare report regarding the listed subjects in this case. After an assigned CGPD case officer review of the report contents, this report does not meet the criteria for a criminal investigation currently. Case closed and for information only
November 17
At 2:38 p.m. a Stihl brand backpack leaf blower was stolen by an unknown suspect from a City of Cottage Grove Public Works Employee, who was conducting lawn maintenance at the park located at 34 South River Road. The leaf blower was placed in the back of a public works truck bed at the time it was stolen. The value of the leaf blower was $424.96. No security footage in the surrounding area was available, and no further suspect leads have been provided to pursue at this time.
At 2:56 p.m. the listed suspect in this case was trespassed from the involved residential address by the assigned case officer at the request of the female homeowner who is also listed in this case. Once the suspect was escorted off the private property, this case was taken to document the verbal trespass request. Case closed for trespass advice only at this time.
At 5:41 p.m. a minor non-injury motor vehicle accident occurred between the two listed drivers and their associated vehicles in this case. The assigned case officer arrived on scene and assisted with an insurance information exchange between both parties and cleared the call for service once the roadway was cleared. Both drivers possessed current insurance and valid driver's license at the time of police contact. The damage appeared to be less than $2500 in total value between both vehicles involved.
November 18
At approx. 11:45 a.m. CSO Lane responded to a vehicle reported as abandoned on Van Buren Avenue.
At approx. 12:27 p.m. an officer responded to a call for theft of services from Papa Murphy’s Pizza.
At approx. 1:27 p.m. an responded to a possible Burglary in progress.
At approx. 3:39 p.m. an officer assisted medics with an overdose.
At 4:21 p.m. the involved victim reported theft of both license plates from the listed vehicle. The victim reported the crime to have happened on 11/8/22 between 8:00pm-10:00pm, while the vehicle was parked at Wal-Mart 901 Row River Road. With no further suspect information, the license plates were listed as stolen and entered LEDS via Dispatch.
November 19
At 12:12 a.m. an officer located a wanted subject.
At 9:26 a.m. a disorderly subject was arrested and taken into custody at Grocery Outlet 200 Gateway in Cottage Grove.
At approx. 10:50 a.m., an officer responded with Lane County Sheriff's officer to assist as a cover unit.
At approx. 7:38 p.m. Cottage Grove Police assisted OSP with a motor vehicle crash on 1-5 North.
November 21
At 12:40 p.m., a citizen located a cell phone at 222 South River Road. The phone was lodged into CGPD evidence for the owner.
At approx. 2:30 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop and impounded a vehicle.
At 2:23 p.m. CSO responded to a call for a dog at large.
At 5:32 p.m., the Cottage Grove Police Department received a complaint of the listed suspect entering the victim's residence without permission. The victim wished to have the suspect trespassed from her residence but did not wish to pursue charges of any other kind. The suspect and victim had an intimate relationship with children, but the relationship is now separated, and the suspect no longer resides at the address. The suspect was contacted via telephone and a voice message was left by the assigned case officer regarding the verbal trespass advisement and a future civil standby process if the suspect needed to retrieve any personal property still at the address. Cased closed as verbal trespass advisement by CGPD case officer only with no charges pursued.
At 7:26 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a listed area for a traffic collision that involved listed parties and vehicles. No injuries. OMV Crash Report was Completed. No action taken against either driver. Neither vehicle was towed from the scene. Clear case closed.
At 10:03 p.m., the listed reporting party in this case wished to report that an older unknown make and model red pickup truck had collided into his vehicle last night at the listed business parking lot. No damage was observed on the reporting party vehicle and the reporting party just wished to have the incident documented. No additional suspect information or involved suspect vehicle plate was obtained. Case closed and for information only.
At 10:52 p.m., an officer was dispatched to location for a cold burglary and a theft of approx. $1500 in cash. None of the surrounding homes, buildings have security footage including the complainants. No suspect information exists currently.
At 11:44 p.m., the Cottage Grove Police Department received an emailed OHS 307 report regarding the listed individuals included in this case. After an assigned case officer review of the OHS 307 report contents, this case was closed with no criminal investigation needed as no allegations of abuse were present.
November 22
At 12:42 a.m. an officer lodged found property that was found on 11/21/2022 at 18:08 hours.
At approx. 10:00 a.m., CGPD received a DHS307.
At 10:10 a.m., CSO followed up on an abandoned vehicle call.
At approx. 12:40 p.m. a motor vehicle accident occurred at McCoy’s Pharmacy.
At approx. 3:23 p.m., a male was trespassed from Family Dollar.
At approx. 3:53 p.m., a male reported two firearms stolen.
At approx. 5:11 p.m., a female advised her front license plate was stolen.
At approx. 5:15 p.m., a female reported that a male was threatening to kill her.
At approx. 6:26 p.m., CGPD received a DHS307.
November 23
At approx. 1:59 p.m., a male reported that his daughter punched him.
At approx. 3:07 p.m., a male reported someone threw something through his window and broke it.
At 11:36 p.m., an officer arrested a male for an outstanding confirmed warrant through the Lane County Circuit Court outside of American Market.
November 24
At 6:15 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a listed location for a disorderly person. The listed arrestee was taken into custody without incident and lodged at the Cottage Grove Municipal Jail for Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree. Clear by arrest.
At approx. 12:34 p.m., an officer arrested/CLC a male for DWS-Misdemeanor.
At approx. 7:53 p.m. a male was trespassed from Crestview Terrace.
At 11:37 p.m., an officer arrested a male for an outstanding confirmed warrant through the Lane County Circuit Court.
November 25
At 2:00 a.m., an officer arrested a male for an outstanding confirmed warrant.
November 26
At 2:14 p.m., an officer responded to a report of theft at Wal-Mart 901 Row River Road. Staff confronted an unknown unidentified middle-aged white male after he pushed a cart with an unpaid T.V. out past the point of sale. Staff recovered the unpaid merchandise without incident and the unidentified subject left the scene prior to Police arrival. Case Taken for information.
December 5
At 04:35 a.m. an officer located a stolen vehicle parked at the 600 block of Row River Road.
At approximately 10:19 a.m. an officer responded to a disturbance of a male being verbally aggressive towards staff members in a local business.
At 2:46 p.m. a male subject trespassed at 1137 Hwy 99, (Family Dollar) after having been previously trespassed from the location by CGPD.
At 6:07 p.m. the listed suspect included in this case was contacted on foot by the Cottage Grove Police Department and found to possess an outstanding warrant for his arrest set forth by the Lane County Parole and Probation Department for failing to comply with his supervision. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and was cooperative. The suspect was processed and transported to the Lane County Jail where he was lodged thereafter under this case. Case closed by arrest.
At 9:56 p.m. an officer responded to Gateway and Coop Court for a motor vehicle accident. The driver, subject '2' was subsequently cited in lieu of custody for DUI and Reckless Endangering x2.
At 11:28 p.m. an officer responded to the 1900 block of North Douglas Street for a complaint of illegal camping. While on scene I located and arrested a wanted subject out of Lane County Sheriff's Office.
December 6
At 10:15 a.m. an officer responded to an Assault call at Cottage Grove High School.
At approximately 10:23 a.m., a DHS307 was received.
At 2:20 p.m. the Cottage Grove Police received a complaint of a theft from a vehicle by the listed victim in this case. The vehicles catalytic converter had been removed from underneath the victim's vehicle which was valued at a $1000.00
At approximately 2:29 p.m. the listed victim in this case contacted the Cottage Grove Police to report a hit and run incident that occurred in which his vehicle was damaged. The victim could not recall where the incident happened as he had been to multiple business parking lot locations but needed to report the damage to his insurance company. This case was generated as a CAD report only with no criminal investigation possible due to having no further evidentiary leads to pursue. Case closed and for information only.
At 3:08 p.m. the Cottage Grove OMV staff contacted the Cottage Grove Police to report a suspicious subject who earlier had been at the state government address involved. The suspect made threatening statements and by OMV department policy the staff contacted local law enforcement to document the incident. They staff also requested that the suspect be advised trespass from the location due to the threatening statements of bodily harm made against the staff. It should be known that the involved suspect in this case had been contacted by the Cottage Grove Police and was ultimately transported to the University District Hospital in Eugene Oregon for a police officer mental health hold. This case was taken to document the incident and a trespass advisement notification was placed into the suspects CGPD name file. Case closed and for information only.
At approximately 4:48pm, a female was bit on the nose.
At 6:05 p.m. the Cottage Grove Police Department was contacted by the listed reporting party who wished to disclose that the listed suspect in this case was currently inside his residence and possessed an outstanding warrant for her arrest. A routine OMV records search confirmed two outstanding warrants set forth by the Linn County Oregon Court, and the Springfield Municipal Court for separate unrelated outstanding cases. The suspect was contacted by the assigned case officer inside the residence with consent to enter provided by the reporting party who was still on scene. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and was cooperative. The suspect was directly transported to the Springfield Oregon Municipal Jail and lodged on their warrant entry. The suspect was additionally cited in lieu of custody for the Linn County Court warrant at their request instead of being taken in custody physically. Case closed by arrest.
December 7
At 05:22 p.m. officers were dispatched to a disturbance.
At 11:43 a.m. an officer responded to a report of a cold vehicle theft of a vehicle.
At 2:54 p.m. the Cottage Grove Police Department received a complaint of an attempted burglary at the listed commercial business location that had occurred last night. No forced entry was made nor damage to the building was observed during the attempt. This case was taken to document the attempt and an extra patrol request was entered for the next seven days to aid in deterring future burglary attempts. Case closed and for information only at this time
At 5:53 p.m. the Cottage Grove Police responded to a disturbance at the involved residential address that was reported by the listed victim in this case. The involved suspect refused to leave the victims house after being asked to do so, and at one point the suspect possessed a kitchen knife. The assigned case officer arrived on scene and separated both parties. The victim did not wish to pursue charges of menacing and just wished to have the female suspect trespassed from his residence and escorted off the property. After escorting the female suspect off the property, she was advised trespass from the victim’s address. Case closed as trespass advisement information only.
At approximately 8:36pm a male was trespassed from a residence.
At 9:02 p.m. the Cottage Grove Police Department received an emailed DHS 307 child welfare report regarding the listed individuals and juveniles in this case. December 8
At 12:45 a.m. the Cottage Grove Police Department received an emailed DHS 307 child welfare report regarding the listed juvenile in this case. At 2:36 p.m. CSO followed up on a report of an abandoned motor home.
At approximately 2:42pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop which resulted in the towing of an RV and Trailer.
At approximately 6:08 p.m. a motor vehicle crash occurred.
At 11:23 p.m. the Cottage Grove Police Dispatch advised of a DHS form 307 that had been faxed over to cross reference information. Concerns for children involve lack of parental monitoring and odd controlling behaviors towards children by father reported by mother's family counselor. In following up and speaking with the assigned caseworker it was determined that this case does not necessitate police involvement. Nor does it meet criteria for medical neglect. DHS is continuing in-home follow up visits regarding this incident. In the event that inquiries by D.H.S. necessitate police involvement, further investigation will be conducted at that time. December 9
At approximately 10:47 a.m. an officer located a missing juvenile.
At approximately 2:48 p.m. a male was trespassing at Community Sharing.
At approximately 3:34 p.m., an officer received a DHS307 report.
At approximately 8:33 p.m. 7’s Deli asked to identify a male and trespass him.
At 9:56 p.m. an officer responded to the 600 block of South 10th Street. While on scene the officer developed probable cause to arrest subject "3" with unlawful possession of firearms.
December 10
At 12:06 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop that lead to a DUI investigation and arrest.
At 11:37 a.m. an officer was dispatched to a two-person disturbance as an agency assist to LCSO. Ultimately, no crimes were determined to have been committed. The male half called reporting that the female showed injury to her wrist after she punched a window in her R.V. trailer due to her being upset and not managing her anger during their argument. On scene, interviews with the involved confirmed the original call of concern. Medics arrived and transported the Female to the Cottage Grove Hospital for sustained abrasions on her hand, and wrist, from the self-inflicted injury. While on scene and in the R.V. Trailer no indications of drug or alcohol use were evident. Both parties were counseled on behaving civilly and appropriately if arguing occurs, since they do have a younger child in the home. Case taken for information.
At 12:37 p.m. the involved motorhome was tagged to be towed if not moved off the block within 72 hrs.
At 2:27 p.m. the suspect in this case violated an active restraining order.
December 12
At 1:58 a.m. a shoplift report from Walmart, 901 Row River Rd. in Cottage Grove, OR.
At 9:19 a.m. officers were dispatched to a listed location for a physical domestic disturbance with parties separated. Suspect was taken into custody for listed charges following an investigation for a listed charge. Suspect was transported and lodged at the Lane County Jail without incident. Clear by arrest.
At 1:39 p.m. an officer responded to a disturbance at the 800 block of Pierce Avenue.
At 2:11 p.m. the listed victim wished to report that her identity had been taken from a "Linked-in" website during a recent job application that resulted as being fictitious. The victim has not suffered any loss and has already taken the necessary steps in reporting her personal identification information leak to the US Federal authorities and involved banks to close accounts. This case was taken as a courtesy CAD report for victim reporting documentation to the involved financial institutions and federal offices involving identity theft. Case closed and for information only.
At 5:32 p.m. the listed juvenile in this case was found to be intoxicated under influence of alcohol and trespassing at the business refusing to leave the property. The juvenile was detained and directly transported to his residential address and given to the custody of his parents who were advised a warning of their minor child in possession of alcohol. While officers were at the residence speaking with the parents, it was learned that the juvenile had consumed twice the normal dosage of Benadryl by swallowing four capsules earlier with an alcoholic beverage sometime today before officer contact. Officers escorted the juvenile and his mother to the Cottage Grove Hospital for a voluntary mental health evaluation before clearing the call
for service. The juvenile was advised trespass from Bartolotti’s Pizza and this case was taken to reflect the transport and trespass advisement. Case closed and for information only.
At 11:27 p.m an officer conducted a follow up at 901 Row River Road for a separate theft case. Walmart reported another theft that occurred on 12/11/2022.
December 13
At 12:49 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the listed location on Hwy 99 for an overdose. Upon my arrival I located a listed person who advised he was overdosing on fentanyl. Listed person had already received three doses of NARCAN prior to my arrival administered via private citizen. Medics responded and transported the listed person to the hospital. No action was taken by law enforcement. Case taken as info only. Clear case closed.
At3:26 p.m. the Cottage Grove Police Department received an emailed OHS 307 child welfare report regarding the listed individuals. After assigned case officer review of the OHS 307 report contents, this case is closed with no criminal investigation needed.
December 14
At 10:43 a.m., there was a reported theft of lottery tickets by an employee. Complainant could not provide suspect, video or loss information at time of contact and advised they would let me know when it becomes available. Report is open pending information from the complainant.
At approximately 3:10 p.m. a male advised his wallet had been stolen.
At approximately 6:48 p.m. a juvenile stole unknown merchandise from Dari Mart.
December 20
At 10:45 an officer received an emailed OHS 307. Closed at screening. No crime. Clear case closed.
At approximately 4:16pm, a vehicle was hit at Walmart. Suspect left the scene.
December 21
At 01:31 a.m. an officer arrested a male for an outstanding confirmed warrant through Marion County Circuit Court.
At 12:31 p.m. the Cottage Grove Police Dispatch advised of a Closed at Screening OHS form 307 that had been faxed over to cross reference information only. The report indicated an allegation of inappropriate activity of a juvenile on a school bus. This matter is deemed to be non-criminal, and ultimately a behavioral issue that's already being forwarded to school staff and transportation supervisors. With this matter, not necessitating OHS or Police involvement, this case is to be closed.
At approximately 9:49pm a female was trespassed from the Great Western Pub and detained for questioning for LCSO.
December 22
At 12:41 a.m. an officer arrested a female for an outstanding warrant through the Marion County Circuit Court.
At approximately 2:44 p.m., a male violated his Stalking Protective Order.
At 2:32 p.m. the Cottage Grove Police Dispatch advised of an OHS form 307 that had been faxed over to cross reference information and was closed at screening. In reviewing this report, it was determined that this case does not necessitate police involvement. Nor does it meet criteria for child neglect. In the event that inquiries by D.H.S. necessitate police involvement, further investigation will be conducted at that lime. Report attached digitally. Case taken for information.
