Robert Daniel Zurich passed away on June 11, 2023.

 

Robert Daniel Zuvich, known affectionately as Bob, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2023, in Cottage Grove, Oregon at the age of 83. Born on July 22, 1939, in Elma, Washington, to Thomas and Norma (Callaway) Zuvich, Bob spent his life creating a legacy of love, generosity, and dedication to his family, friends, and community. Bob's professional life was marked by his dedication to his work as a Lead Millwright at Weyerhaeuser in Cottage Grove, Oregon. His colleagues remember him as a hardworking, dependable, and skilled professional who was always willing to lend a hand.In his free time, Bob enjoyed being outdoors and partaking in activities such as camping, fishing, and hunting. He had a special love for taking his beloved dogs, affectionately referred to as "the girls," to the lake for a day of fun and relaxation. Bob's love for nature and the outdoors was a constant source of inspiration and joy for him and those who were fortunate enough to share in his adventures. Bob will be remembered as a loving, generous, and handy individual who always put the needs of others before his own. His kindness and willingness to help others endeared him to many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Bob's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and community, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were touched by his presence. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Betty Diane (Martin) Zuvich, and their four sons: Ryan Zuvich of Sacramento, CA; Scott (Cheryl) Zuvich of Vancouver, WA; James “JC” (Donna Lynn) Chapman of Eugene, OR; and Paul Chapman of Florence, OR. He also leaves behind his two brothers, Larry (Pam) Zuvich of Cottage Grove, OR, and Tommy (Carol) Zuvich of North Bend, OR. Bob is preceded in death by both his parents, Thomas and Norma Zuvich, two sons Rick Zuvich and Daniel Chapman. Memorial contributions can be made in Bob’s name to Greenhill Humane Society.
