Ronald Scott Chase, 59, passed away on September 4^th, 2019. He was born in Cottage Grove, Oregon to Theodore and Lavonne (Kethcart) Chase on September 4^th, 1960 and was raised by his mom and dad Donald R. Brown. Although Scott only attended school through the 10^thgrade, he worked to receive his GED in 1997 to prove to his children that it could be done. He was a self-employed log truck driver in the timber industry for most of his life. He married Cathy E. Smith on July 18^th, 1992 in Redmond, OR. Scott enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He made it a priority to attend his grandchildren’s sporting events. Scott is survived by son Levi Chase; daughters Melissa Wells, Sandra Chase, Rachelle Slonecker and Krista Ritter; his wife Cathy; sisters Debbie, Barbara, Martha, Cheri, Desiree, and Debbie; brothers Teddy, Ronnie, Robert, and Fred; dad Donald Brown; and 8 grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Scott was loved by many and impacted many lives he will be dearly missed. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove, OR.
