Sentman finalist for male athlete of the year

Blake Sentman has been named a finalist for Johnny Carpenter award, given annually to the Oregon 4A/3A/2A/1A male prep athlete of the year. Last year the award went to Will Shaw of Yoncalla while current Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert won the 5A-6A award. The award will be handed out at the Tiger Woods Center on the Nike campus in Beaverton, which will be hosted by Neil Everett of ESPN.
“It’s nice to see all the hard work and time I’ve put in pay off. It’s an honor to go,” Sentman said. He will play college basketball next year for Lewis-Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho.
