Stained glass and candlelight holiday celebration returns to the Cottage Grove Museum

November 22 - The Cottage Grove Museum’s annual holiday event, Stained Glass and Candlelight, will return after a two-year hiatus on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cottage Grove Museum, 147 North H St., in Cottage Grove’s historic Northwest Neighborhood.

The museum will resume its holiday tradition of illuminating the museum’s stained-glass windows from the outside while historian Joanne Skelton offers a window-by-window tour highlighting the features of, and story behind, each window.

The tour will begin at 6:30pm.

The museum’s new exhibit, “Bundle Up!,” featuring coats, hats and scarves worn during the chilly months of winter by men, women and children of Cottage Grove in the early 1900s, will be open during the event.

Admission is free but donations are encouraged. Light refreshments will be served.
