All eyes will turn sky-ward as folks look up and ask, "What's that?" this Saturday, Aug. 3, as the big, powerful Stearman planes roar into Cottage Grove for the 41st annual Jim Wright Stearman Fly-In.
The public is welcome and admission is free.
The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be held at the Oregon Aviation Historical Society (OAHS) & Museum, where visitors will be able to talk to the pilots of these incredible, powerful planes and meet the people who have restored them.
The fly-in is hosted by OAHS, which depends on donations from visitors and the community to preserve the stories and educate the public about the key roles played by Oregon's aviation pioneers.
