Stephen Allen Dempsey, 61 of Creswell, OR passed away on August 22, 2019.   He was born in Santa Barbara, CA to parents George and Shirley (Miller) Dempsey on February 21, 1958 and graduated from CA Duarte High School in 1976. Stephen was in the United States Air Force from 1976 to 1980, working in telecommunications.  He had a career as a 911 dispatcher in law enforcement in southern CA and Cottage Grove.  Stephen enjoyed working on computers and crossword puzzles.  He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Miller, who he married in Glendora, CA; daughters Kelly Fulton, Shannon Dempsey and Courtney Dempsey; brother Michael Dempsey; and 1 soon to arrive grandchild.  Stephen was preceded in death by his son Andrew Dempsey and granddaughter, Madison.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 30^that 10:00 am at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel at 123 S. 7^thStr. in Cottage Grove, OR.
