Students celebrate 2nd annual Harvest Festival at London School

November 10 - On Friday, Oct. 28, London School celebrated their second annual Harvest Festival. This included a variety of exciting games, prizes and activities. Cotton Candy and popcorn was in abundance, and students took turns pressing and local apples in the cider press, which made delicious apple cider. Parents and volunteers made this event all that more special.
Every classroom got to choose a pumpkin from London's very own pumpkin patch. These pumpkins were sowed, planted and harvested by the 4th and 5th graders. The festival was such a success last year that the school decided to make it an annual event.
London School boasts the largest elementary garden in the district. These bountiful events, showcasing the schools seasonal yield, are sure to capture young gardeners' attention for years to come. For more information, visit www.slane.k12.or.us/london.
