Willie Choat of Cottage Grove passed away December 8, 2018 at the age of 92. Willie was born September 3, 1926 in Hanna, Oklahoma to Williams and Ada (Hayes) Choat.

Willie graduated from High School in Bakersfield, CA.  In 1944 Willie joined the Military and served in the US Army and the US Air Force. Williewas awarded the WWll Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Metal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation Medal.

He married Luella Kinkade on March 1, 1947 in Las Vegas, NV.

Willie worked as a Service Manager in the auto industry and enjoyed time with his family along with hunting and fishing. Willie was also a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Willie is survived by his son, Nick (Cindy) Choat, Halsey, OR; daughters Rickie (Jerry) Monroe, Mill City, OR and Vickie (Glen) Dufur, Kent, WA; sister, Alice Dupzyk, Sacramento, CA; 8 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren.

Willie was preceded in death by his wife Luella.

A memorial service will be held on January 12^that 1PM at the Calvary Baptist Church 77873 S. 6^thSt. Cottage Grove, OR.
