Thomas E. Morin, 52, was arrested on June 6 on charges relating to sexual abuse and child pornography. 

The Yoncalla resident was subject of an investigation that was initiated after the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a complaint in May. The victim was not identified but according to a press release detailing the arrest, was "known to Morin."

During the course of the investigation, authorities learned that Morin was in possession of sexually explicit images of children. 

On Wednesday, June 6, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Detective and Patrol Divisions served a search warrant at Morin’s residence. Morin was located at his home and ultimately arrested.

He was transported to and lodged at the Douglas County Jail on charges relating to child sexual abuse and child pornography.
